Teacher for life

It seems like yesterday when I was still in high school.. Back then, I don't really like studying any subjects apart from math n add maths, although I did studied hard so that I won't lose to others. And being a straight As student, I always hang-out around teachers, especially the sciences (phy, chem, bio) teachers.

During those time, the sciences teachers had this small teacher's room at the end of the lab. I think it's cool to hang-out there with the teachers. I used to bring all these past years questions that I answered and asked for further explanations. A few of them were my favourite. I went there a lot, that it eventually became a habit. They were strict in class, scolding us, punishing us when we failed, gave us a piece of mind when we did smtg naughty., and some students even hate them. but when I went to that secluded room at the end of the lab, they were like mothers to me, and we talked about a lot of things. And for me, it's true that "A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops."-Henry Brooks Adams

I can't remember what i was writing about.. *sigh.. (mixed emotion is not good) nway, they thought me not only about sciences, but they thought me about lives.. and for one of our Bio teacher, one of my most fav teacher, Cikgu NorHayati Din, I thank you for shaping me to become who I am today..

Ayam Phat Phet



Today's lunch ^^ berbelit lidah nk sebut "ayam phat phet" when my laling asked ni masak ape.. hihi..

Owh, my laling smp malam td (so today, happy mood ^^). smlm wat mushroom soup, fish n chips, cuma chips tu tukar jd wedges.. semua wat sendiri.. tp xsempat nk amik gmbr, sbb ada org sampai lapar, kn ;)

Arini terliur tgk resepi widad@myresepi. just cnp, ye =)

Bahan A (Blend)

5 biji cili padi(me guna 3 je)

2 hiris halia

kunyit hidup (me guna tsp kunyit serbuk)

1 atau 2 batang serai

5 ulas bawang putih

1 biji bawang besar

Bahan B

3 keping ayam

1 batang serai

1 asam keping

4 helai daun limau purut

2 sudu sos tiram (me tambah)

sedikit Garam dan Gula, secubit ajinomoto

Cara-cara

  • Blend bahan A dan tumis hingga naik bau
  • Masukkan bahan B dan air (ikut byk mana kuah yg nak, me letak around 1-2cup). masak till mendidih, n kuah nmpak pekat.
  • done ^^


Ayam posing ngan iair jagung yg best.. me guna kordial jagung, campur ngan susu pekat, then letak jagung dlm tin. sejukkan b4 serve. nyum!

~alone~


had pics of sweet sour, ikan 3 rasa, asam pedas, mee kung fu, n ayam paprik.. worth of few days of lunches n dinners.. but my head is spinning, can't be bother to think of the correct measurement that i used.. it must be the shitake mushroom. woke up early to prepare breakfast today, my laling going to bintulu for a couple of days (sob sob..).. made kue tiaw ladna, letak shitake (he LOVEs shitake).. i really can't stand the taste (n even the smell).. just rasa sikit kuah utk perasakn garam gula, bau lekat kt hidung, smp pening kepala. hence; this headache.

kenal x shitake? this is the culprit. plg common jumpa dlm sizzling (sbb tu me xmakan sizzling.. xleh telan langsung mende alah nih)..

*yawn~~ ngantuk! bgn awal bangat. pg2 hari my laling nk bertolak ke bintulu. pas babai2 dia, stat nyapu2 n mop2 lantai.. n with this headache, nk gi sidai kain, pastu nk titon... tgk gmbr org itu jap.. sedih laa pulak dia gi outstation. 1st time kene tinggal since duk "oversea" nih.. huhu..

Taman Awam Miri

last weekend tak kuar sgt sbb my laling involved with kem solat. but in the evening, ada masa free, so kuar round2 kejap. b4 this, time ncah ada we couldn't find this public park. salah masuk jalan rupanyer. this time pun nyaris2 terlepas, dh terlajak jalan n miss main gate, mujur ada rear entrance.

taman ni about 3km from the city centre, on the right side of the long, hilly road to miri airport/bintulu. quite a distance from our place. nway, just nk pamer few shoots that my laling took (me sibuk nk masuk gmbr, so he's the one capturing ^^)..

from the parking lot nmpk jambatan gantung merentasi taman nih.


berpeluh jugak nk sampai ke 1st tangga kat hujung tu.. huhu..

the playground. sbb pegi tgh2hari, so xde budak2 main. on the 2nd thought, there's hardly anyone there, apart from a family barbecuing. maybe pagi2 n ptg sket br ramai org kot.

the main think that captured my eyes was this pool.. but its only for children 12yrs n below.. uu uuu... nk main~~
xsempat nk round semua tempat. observational tower pun xpegi. n review ckp ada fountain gak. my laling sibuk ajak balik, dia nk main bola pulak.. blk br lalu kt front entrance. nx time u r searching for this place, look for this pintu gerbang ^^

Sup Ayam Hadnyai


Rupa2nya dh nk habis bln january. rasa baru je lagi bandar miri ni kelam ngn asap org pasang firework mlm thn baru. dh sebulan jd housewife ni, tiap2 hari keje duk godek2 myresepi.. huhu... bukan sbb xreti masak, tp sbb dh kehabisan idea nk masak.. ye laa.. tiap2 hari masak 3 kali, bekfes, lunch ngan dinner. n x main aa masak mende2 yg sama je.. hehe.. last time terjumpa resepi Sup Ayam Hadnyai ni.. xtau laa btol ke x org Hadnyai masak camni. tp nk try jugak wat sup ayam yg lain dr yg selalu wat.. me alter sikit2 ikut apa yg ada di dapur.

ni bahan2 dia:

  • Ayam (utk 2-3 org)
  • 3 ulas Bawang putih, 5 ulas bawang merah, 3 cili api, 2 cm halia, 1 cm lengkuas = blend.
  • 1 batang serai = ketuk
  • 1 sudu kecil jintan manis dan jintan putih
  • 2 biji bunga lawang, 4 biji buah pelaga,1btg kayu manis dan 3 kuntum bunga cengkih
  • daun sup, daun bawang, daun sadri dan batang sadri
Cara-cara
  • Tumiskan bawang putih, merah, cabai, halia, jintan manis dan putih, bunga lawang buah pelaga, kayu manis, bunga cengkih, lengkuas dan serai hingga naik bau
  • Masukkan ayam, gaulkan sehingga rata ,tutup dan biarkan 5 minit. Masukkan batang sadri
  • Masukkan 5 cawan air dan biarkan sehingga menggelegak.
  • Tambahkan garam secukup rasa
  • Hiriskan daun bawang, sup dan sadri taburkan pada hidangan.
  • Perahkan sedikit limau nipis.
  • siap! (me makan ngan nasi air ^^)

Rambling + Doh Karipap

Sejak duk Miri nih.. rajin betul meng-update blog.. biasa laa, xde keje nk buat. hehe.. dulu time study selalu berangan2 nk jd housewife.. mcm ni rupanya jd housewife (masak, masak, masak.. tu je keje..huhu)..

masa sampai2 aritu, my laling terus gi beli TV.. maklumlaa, takut mrs kesayangan dia mati kutu bosan duk umah... masalahnyer, order Astro x sampai2... dh sebulan kt sini, tiap2 ari tgk tv3, channel lain semua xdpt (nasib baik tv3.. kalu tv1 je yg dpt, confirm tertekan.. hehe)..

Skrg ni tgh rajin mengambil gmbr, tu yg duk tepek mcm2 gmbr.. n bila dh ada gmbr mknn, alang2 letak je laa resepi sekali.. nnti nk ckp kt bdk2 ni yg selalu tepon mintak resepi bukak je blog ni, senang citer.. hehe.. tp tertekan aa sbb xpandai nk amik gmbr kasi nmpk cantik.. padahal dh guna DSLR. kene gi cari kelas photography la pasni.. (owh daku sungguh berbahagia sbb xyah masuk lab or berkerja.. hoho)..

doh ni guna yg mama ajar, tp me alter ikut yg me suka mkn.. resepi dia:
  • 4 c tepung
  • 2 tbs margerin
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 3/4 c air
  • 1/2 tsp garam
cara-cara:
  • panaskan margerin + minyak dlm periuk. tutup api.
  • tengah panas2 tu, masukkan tepung dlm periuk td dan gaul guna garpu (jgn guna tangan, melecur nnti).
  • dh sejuk siket, campur garam n air.
  • Uli-uli.. siap! buleh wat karipap ikot suka inti apa..
Yang ni karipap inti sardin nk posing. me suka makan karipap inti kari ayam n kentang.. tp sbb my laling ni peminat setia sardin. layankan je...

Yang ni jadi camni sbb inti dh habis n ada balance doh.. hoho.. canai nipis2 pastu goreng.. wat snacking sambil pura2 baca journals.. hihihi.. bila google, baru tau nama dia "gettah" (guane nk sebut pon x tau). biasa org sirakn dgn gula, tp saje malas nk tambah kalori, n mkn gitu saje pun ok gak =)

Ikan Patin Masak Lemak Cili Padi

Lunch arini masak ikan patin yg beli wiken aritu.. 1st time masak ikan patin nih.. huhu.. kalau kat umah mmg x beli ikan sungai. my siblings mmg prefer ayam.. n me pon susah nk telan ikan sungai nih.. tp bila balik umah mak mertua, mmg xtak sah kalu xde ikan sungai (esp ikan baung yg samp skrg me xleh nk telan.. hohoho)..

nway, demi enchik hasben terchenta (;p), me pon masukkan ikan sungai dlm menu harian.. eventho ikan patin femes ngan masak tempoyak, sbb tempoyak xde, so wat masak lemak cili api... telah melumur ikan dgn asam jawa dgn byk n lama sbb xnk kasi hanyir.. ;p

so, this is my ikan patin masak lemak cili api ^^
masak mcm masak lemak cili api biasa je..
  • ikan patin sekor (potong ikut suka)
  • setegah biji bawang besar
  • cili padi ikot suka nk pedas mana, me letak dlm 6-8 biji je
  • kunyit (sbb xde kunyit hidup, bantai serbuk kunyit je)
  • serai sebatang - ketuk
  • santan (guna dlm separuh santan kotak)
  • asam keping
  • garam

cara2:

  • blend bawang n cili
  • masuk kan dlm periuk with serai. biar mendidih.
  • kecikkan api, n masukkn santan n kunyit. biar dia mendidih, kene selalu kacau supaya x pecah minyak.
  • last sekali, masukkan ikan, asam keping, n garam. kacau slow2 sbb isi ikan patin cepat lerai.
  • masak dah ^^

Aiskrim potong ^^

Last time tgh jalan2, ternampak bekas wat aiskrem yg omey nih!! ^^

Terus grab, then balik2 ape lagi.. aiskrim-in-making projek laa... hohoho~ ada balance inti kacang merah (b4 this wat pau, tp terlebih2 lak inti dia).. so, campur ngan susu pekat manis n air sket, then masukkn dlm bekas aiskrim..

then... taddaaa!!!! nyum! jd ais potong..

yang kosong2 tu sbb dh ngap! hehe

yg belakang kaler purple tu, perasa keladi.. wat dadih perasa yam, masukkan sekali dlm bekas jd aiskrim ^^

wohoho~ funny looking fish.. org kedai tu ckp nama dia ayam laut, then we found out that it's also called ikan jebong.. sekilo 6inggit.. sekor dlm 5inggit (byk ikan kt sini sekor 5inggit)


ikan ni kulit tebal gler.. keras mcm ikan cencaru.. guna gunting baru lut n blh kerat..

sbb xtau nk masak ape, so kukus kn aje.. (me kukus ikan with serai+bawang putih+halia+limau nipis+garam).. kukusan kecik ngat, muat2 je ikan tu.. ekor dia ada kt bawah.. kene kerat 2 sbb xmuat sekor.. hehe)..

after a bite, u know why it's called 'ayam laut'.. isi dia pejal macam ayam.. n kurang bau hanyir ikan.. after google, baru tau org biasa bakar or wat kari ikan nih.. tp kalu wat kari kene buang kulit dia b4 masak. if not, dh masak nnti sisik penuh dlm kuah..



ps: makan ngan sambal kicap (kicap manis+bawang besar mayang + cili api <- kene perap at least 15mins), confirm kene masak nasi lebih.. haha~

Weekend! time utk kuor berjalan2.. dh nk sebulan duk kat miri.. berapa kali je kuor.. tp ni dh ada kete, so berbahagia la.. hoho...

Our aim was to mencari ikan yg pelik2 n try masak ^^ tp sebelum tu, gi beli sayur kat Tamu Muhibbah. lupa nk amik gmbr dr luar.. but it's a deretan pasar sayur.. mcm2 jenis sayur.. kelabu mata nk pilih -@@- n cheaper compared to other places. yg penting, jumpa bunga kantan n daun kesum!! weeee~~~~ sempurna my asam pedas ^^

anak ayam pon ada jual gak.. kawaiiii sgt10x!! 2inggit setengah sekor.. omey! omey!!


nk beli xboleh.. pegang je laa..

after beli seplastik penoh sayur, went to Bintang Plaza meronda2.. kt sini ada Parkson n Giant, KFC, Chilis, Coffee Beans & Tea Leaves n kedai2 yg pelbagai. owh, kami jumpa shushi king!! yayy!!! (kat KB xdok shushi king!)..

then off to e-mart beli ikan (xabih survey lg mana pasar basah jual ikan.. Tamu Muhibbah td jual sayur2 n agriculture products je).. sbb me xkn pegang2 ikan tu time beli, enchik husben sy laa yg pilih2 ikan yg segar ikut standard dia.. huhu (pastu tangan bau ikan, susah nk pegang stereng kete... hehehe)..


Ikan patin, semua kedai pon ada.. mostly jual hidup2.. baru fresh.. beli sekor, 5inggit. xmasak pon lg..


then.. jeng! jeng!! ikan apakah!! sgt ngeri!! 1st thought= piranha.. hoho.. nmpk x dlm mulut dia ada anak ikan.. uh uh...


x nampak?? me close-up.. ngeri! ngeri!!


ni ikan ape ntah.. lupa dh nama dia.. beli sekor jugak.. (duduk 2org ni, ikan besar2 sket semua beli sekor2 je.. hehe).. owh, pastu beli ikan jebong jugal, nnti upload..

penat jalan.. beli cool blog@ bubble tea! nyum! nyum!! tp bubble tea kt NZ lagi best ^^
